Review: doctor who, The Forgotten Army by Brian Minchin.

After 10,000 years, the invasion begins . . .

' Let me tell you a story Log ago, in the frozen Arctic wastes, an alien army landed. Only now thousand years later, it isn't a story. And the army is ready to attack.'

New-York - one of the greatest cities on 21st-century Earth . . . But what's going on in the Museum? And is that really a Woolly Mammoth rampaging down Broadway?

An ordinary day becomes a time of terror, as the Doctor and Amy meet a new and deadly enemy. The vicious Army of  the Vykoid are armed to the teeth and determined to enslave the human race. Even though they're only seven centimeters high.

With the Vykoid army swarming across Manhattan and sealing it from the world with a powerful alien force field, Amy has just 24 houts to find the Doctor ad save the city. If she doesn't, the people of Manhattan will be taken to work in the doomed asteroid mines of the vykoid home planet.

But as time starts to run out, who can she trust? And how far will she have to go to free New York from th Forgotten Army?

Let me tell you guys this first. I am also a doctor Who fan. So, if i go on and talk about it just ignore it. Normally i only watch Doctor Who but this time i wanted to read it and if you don't know i love trying new things.

Sam has just found a Woolly Mammoth in the Arctic. Now that he's preparing to show it to the whole world it starts to become embarrassing. It's just like when you are back at school and start stuttering but it's far more worse than that. The Woolly Mammoth has come alive and it still doesn't stop there. The Woolly Mammoth is trying to escape from the Museum.
The Doctor and Amy has just landed in New York but Amy isn't satisfied with this. However the Doctor doesn't care. He wants to show Amy the best restaurant in New York that will one day be the most famous in all of the galaxy. But when the Doctor sees the new and sees a Woolly Mammoth on the news. He has to get involved somehow . . .

I loved the opening.I got hooked on the first Sam the author as talking about, when Sam  showed what he found i was so excited and then it became a disaster for the character. I felt so sorry for him but when it becomes embarrassing it doesn't stop there it gets worse . . .

My favorite part in the book is when the Doctor and Amy  jump on to the Woolly Mammoth and ride it. I mean who jumps on a Woolly Mammoth wen its like the five times taller than you and can kill you in a instant.
The funniest part in the book is when the Doctor gets told to get out of the zoo with the children from a class because of his bow tie and his suit.

My rating:

I loved it. The Doctor makes it funny, mysterious and at the same time serious. It was a easy read.

BOW TIES ARE COOL!!!
